| Riding To The Top Therapeutic Riding center is a NARHA (North American
Riding for the Handicapped Associated) Premier Accredited Center. RTT's
mission is to provide therapeutic riding services to children and adults
with physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities. We offer programs
at two locations - our farm in Windham and at a satellite program at Pineland
Farms Equestrian Center in New Gloucester. Our instructors are NARHA registered
instructors and have a variety of backgrounds including physical therapy,
nursing, social work, equine expertise and more. In addition, we have
a great staff including a full-time Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator
to ensure that our lessons and scheduling process is handled as efficiently

This week on Maine Watch, we'll look at philanthropy in Maine.
In the midst of this national economic downturn, non-profit agencies
are under increasing pressure to deliver more services, yet competition
for dollars is tighter than ever. Philanthropists, too, are feeling
the squeeze, as their endowments take a hit. Meanwhile, a brand
new report shows that Maine citizens give less than the national
average to charities. We'll look at the role of philanthropy in
Maine and some of the new thinking in the world of giving.
