PATH Riding To The Top

Enhancing health and wellness through equine assisted activities and therapies

Riding To The Top has served thousands of children and adults with disabilities since 1993. While most clients come from the greater Portland area, RTT also serves clients from central and mid-coast Maine and eastern New Hampshire. Our clients range in age from 3 to 80+ and are referred by doctors, therapists, social workers, teachers, family members and friends.

Despite their differences, one thread connects all of our clients— they all love their time at the farm and arrive each week with a smile on their face ready to work with their team.

Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) are beneficial to individuals with many diagnoses including, but not limited to:

Brain Injury
Cerebral Palsy
Developmental Delays
Down Syndrome
Emotional/Behavioral Disorders
Learning Disabilities
Mental Health Diagnoses
Spinal Cord Injuries
Spina Bifida

“RTT equals respect for Mary. She isn’t babied or talked down to here. Her instructors consistently hold a high bar of both physical and behavioral expectations for her which means they respect her enough to hold her accountable for her skills and abilities. We know when we prepare for her RTT lesson that we will experience 45 minutes of challenge, honor and fun.”
